For over forty years I have been saying that the Anti-christ will, in his peace covenant, make it possible for both Jews and Arabs to co-occupy the temple Mount. The Arab's Dome of the Rock would remain, and the Jews would put up their temple just to the north on the vacant slab where the ancient temple probably stood. I was the only Bible teacher I know of who was making a case for this to happen. No one agreed with me! I have been vindicated by a recent article in the Sept./Oct. 2009 issue of The Jerusalem Connection. In an article entitled "What? Muslim Leader Wants Temple Rebuilt?," what I said could happen was advocated by "World News Daily." Without going into all the details of the article I will just quote the paragraph that says "The Interfaith Encounter Association" is working on a project called "God's Holy Mountain." It is reported that they are advocating: "The day [may come] when the rebuilt Jewish Temple will exist side by side with the Dome of the Rock." And in my book "For The Cause Of Zion," I gave a long description of the Arab messiah who is called "The Mahdi." In The Jerusalem Connection, the article goes on and adds what I have been teaching for years: "Islam's primary messiah figure [the Mahdi], ... will one day invade the land of Israel and establish his seat of authority on the Temple Mount." Many of the leaders in President Barack Hussein Obama's administration say that, if it becomes necessary to stop the so-called "genocide" of the Palestinian Arabs, the U.S. would consider military force against the Jews! We are rapidly moving to the days prophesied in Scripture about the End Times! This is of course what the apostle Paul writes in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4. The "man of lawlessness [will be] revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God" (v. 4). Before His crucifixion, the Lord spoke of the Anti-christ desecrating the temple, as prophesied in Daniel 9:27: He said to a future generation of Jews, "When you see the 'abomination of desolation' which was spoke of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place [the temple] ... then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains ..." (Matt. 24:15-16). A side-note: The Christian British General, Gordon, fought one claiming to be the Arab's messiah, the Mahdi, in Africa before the turn of the twentieth century. He was killed by the Mahdi's troops in the African city of Khartoum, at the junction where the White and Blue Nile Rivers come together. Gordon knew well the claims of the Mahdi theologically.
