GOD WILL BE SEEN VISIBLY IN THE PERSON OF THE MESSIAH!

God the Son will be seen in physical form with the coming of the Millennial Kingdom! Isaiah 33:14 and on into chapter 34, make this clear. We read: "Your eyes will see the King in His beauty" (v. 17). In Zion, "the city of the appointed feasts; your eyes shall see Jerusalem, an undisturbed habitation ..." (v. 20). "There the majestic One, the Lord, shall be for us a place of rivers and wide canals ..." (v. 21).

He will be "our judge, our lawgiver, our king; He will save us" (v. 22). "He will dwell on the heights" (v. 16). There, in Jerusalem, no "resident will say, 'I am sick'; the people who dwell there will be forgiven their iniquity" (v. 24).

When Christ comes He will come with "indignation against all the nations, and His wrath will be against all their armies; He will utterly destroy them" (34:2). He will defend the nation of Israel. "The Lord will have a day of vengeance for the cause of Zion" (v. 8).

The Jewish Rabbis get the point! They see what is going on in 33:17. They write that many "see in the verse an allusion to the Messiah or an eschatological reference to the Divine Presence which will be enjoyed by the righteous in the hereafter." – Soncino Commentaries
