Under a military directive Muslim chaplains in our Army can handle the Koran but only with clean gloves in full view of the detainees. They must use two hands to show reverence and respect. The Koran should be "treated like a fragile piece of delicate art."
But when Bibles in the Dari and Pashto languages were sent to evangelical soldiers in Afghanistan, these Bibles were considered as subversive and were burned lest they could be used to proselytize the people and encourage conversions. It was stated that on the military base "all garbage is burned at the end of each day." Asked why they were not returned to the sender it was said that the Bible might then be sent to other soldiers.
We are in a sick country, that is growing sicker! And indeed, we are moving rapidly into the apostasy. I am expecting outright persecution to fall on us sooner then we have imagined. Maybe in the next five years or less! I am convinced if President Bush was still in office he would have stopped the practice of burning Bibles. But this President knows nothing, he is incompetent and actually at war with Christianity. He has been sent by God as a judgment upon our nation. Why should we pray for mercy: we do not deserve God's blessings upon us.
Prepare your hearts for persecution. —Dr. Mal Couch (8/11
