REMEMBER, ALL WE DO IS THEOLOGICAL!

American law is gone nutty because we are out of biblical and theological common sense. We have no concept of what is just, and what is right and wrong! So we spend millions of dollars trying to prop up our justice system, and along the way, are ignoring what the Bible says about swift retribution.

The Bible tells us that justice must be swift: "If the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, then the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully to do [more] evil" (Eccl. 8:11).

A friend sent me a series of pictures of a bad guy in China who was holding a small boy hostage and who was giving the police three demands. But the police did not wait long—they instantly blew him away, ending his life and ending his spree of evil. In America we would have handled the issue with great ignorance and foolishness that would go against the Bible. We would:

  •    Close the streets down for four or more hours.
  •    Put policemen at risk who were trying to "reason" with the crazed man.
  •    Put the boy at risk while the psychologist tried to talk to him about his "childhood."
  •    Talk to the man for twelve hours.
  •    Spend 5 million dollars on his trial.
  •    Pay his food and lodging for the rest of his life's sentence.
  •    Spends hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep him locked up for fifty years.
But for the Chinese, it only took 35 cents to end the problem, the cost of the one bullet to kill him! How come they knew more of the Bible than we do? – Dr. Mal Couch (Jan., 10)
