DAY OF THE DEAD INCREASES

Halloween or the Day of the Dead has increased in America because of the flow of both legal and illegal folks coming in from Mexico. In border towns, the flood is unending and it brings this evil ceremony into our cities with malls and stores selling witchcraft items for purchase. In Albuquerque, such items are sold year round. Families come to the graves of their relatives and bring food for the spirits of their dead ones. If they receive the food they “treat” their loved ones, if they do not, they “trick” them with something that is bad. Our Puritan and Anglo-Saxon relatives rejected such Latin practices. Halloween was just some that was done with humor but no more! In America we are being rapidly changed from within by an invasion of cultures that are not European! --Dr. Mal Couch (11/11)
